Welcome to Angelina Cat Sanctuary, where actions speak louder than words. In 2019, as COVID-19 spread, our cats needed support. On the beautiful island of Corfu, we acted amidst a struggling volunteer network. Stray cats roamed, impacting local tourism.
The summer of 2021 brought immense challenges. Tourists found countless kittens in need of care. We already cared for 104 cats, neutering adults and planning sterilization for all kittens. Sheltering them from winter's wrath was essential. We built a safe area for adults while providing warmth, food, and love for the kittens.

Rescue, rehabilitation and a home for stray cats
One Step at a Time
At Angelina Cat Sanctuary the cats feel love, care and freedom. We respect the nature of the cats, trying to be next to them to offer the care they need, but in the same time securing the freedom the felines appreciate so much.
A stray cat, trapped and sterilised needs a place for recovery and many times finds long term refuge at our Sanctuary. We assess every cat we are taking in, a visit at the vet is many times necessary before integration with the other cats we have in our care. If a quarantine period is necessary, we offer the possibility of keeping the stray cat isolated between fifteen to twenty one days, following the vet's recommendations. Once the cat finished the quarantine period she will be integrated with the other cats, in the indoor or outdoor area, depending on the cat needs and adaptability. At Angelina Cat Sanctuary we love every cat in our care and we follow strict protocols and have a follow up for each of them.
